Basic Formats of PhD Doctoral Dissertations

The are common stipulations and formatting rules for Dissertations format, but each and every University has its own layout prerequisite, the general specifications and formatting rules are more or less comparable. The dissertation format must have dual space margins all through, except for the support page, title page, figure headings, endnotes and footnotes, and general quotations. Any average font can be selected, ensuring that the same font is used all over. The book titles, foreign words, letters and taxonomic names can be in italics.

The printed copies should not have any errors and they should be without any cross outs, over strikes or corrections, the print format of the paper must be of uniform darkness and toner cartridge or fresh ink must be used for printing. As an option low cost paper can be used for printing the first copy, a photo copy can be on a watermark paper.
